Today we present a new HD receiver GigaBlue 800 HD solo.
Must say, we have very pleasant first impression of this receiver.
It has amazing price, comes with Enigma2. Futures BCM 7325 processor (333MHz), the same is used in VU + Solo receivers. By the way also the flash memory and DDR is the same as the VU + Solo, 128MB flash and 256MB DDR. The receiver is equipped with a card reader and a CI, we successfully tested a Viaccess CAM.
Receiver has 4 digit numeric display. All essential buttons are located on the front of receiver, so you can control it even without remote control.
On the rear panel are located following connectors: LNB in / out, RCA, YPbPr, SCART, HDMI, Ethernet, USB and optical exit.
GigaBlue 800 HD solo power supply is external looks very similar to Dreambox 800HD power adapters.
Despite the some not so good feedbacks about remote control of GigaBlue 800 HD Solo, we find it ergonomic and very comfortable. It responds very well event if it is not pointed directly to the receiver.
Currently Team Red and HDFreaks are making Enigma2 images for Gigablue 800 HD Solo. Originally receiver is delivered with Image of the RED Team (Based on Nemesis image). The image does not contain any emulator, but there are emulators of all major cams (incl. native Cccam and Mgcam) for this receiver.
Emulators work without problems. We tested the CCcam with more then 100 lines and it run without any problem.
My honest thoughts on this one, it reminds me Vu solo in the beginning. GigaBlue 800 HD Solo does exactly what you'd expect and it comes with super price what make this receiver revolutionary for this moment. Definitely it is better choice then Chinese clones of DM800.
